Thanks for that only going on what sky news are reporting and they quote 8.5mil. As for Tosun they say the offer includes both players but hey ho! whoever is right we have to let Wilf go, his time is over at Palace he wants out and that may be an opportunity for us to play less predictable attacking football and give Wilf the chance he wants at a bigger club!

Last season Watford sort of played a 4-2-2-2 formation.

Capoue and Doucoure at the base, Hughes and Pereyra as the next two that would drift wide and then Deulofeu and Deeney up top.

With the players we have left and being linked with, that might be our only option.

Ward.....Cahill...Sakho...PVA

.........Luka...McCarthy/Kouyate

.....Camarasa...........Meyer

........Townsend...Chalov

We'd need to replace Ward and get a RB that can really get up and down for it to work properly though.

The latest rumour is that both Tosun and Bolasie are part of the deal. Please God make it not true

Cenk Tosun is a decent player, powerful and hard-working. Problem is that he's a 10 million max. player and EVerton will probably evaluate him at 20 million in any exchange or even straight up sell.

So...their evaluation is wrong from my perspective. Or at least too high

According to Skysport they have offered 70 mil + two players and one is Tosun and the other is McCarthy to me that seems a sound deal because Wilf is going to go anyway, he wants out so we can't force him to stay and then expect everything to be as it were before. This is an opportunity for both, as one door closes another opens it allows us to play a different system and hopefully to be less predictable with most of our attacking going via Wilf as it has been for the last couple of seasons!

As if our shambles of a transfer team could get a replacement sorted in time.

Makes me think the board probably would take Bolasie as part of a swap deal because they'll have f*** all other irons in the fire.

Bolasie is not worth anything in transfer value . Possible free to championship club at best

Dom Fifield tweeted that it's true.

Thinking about replacements for Wilf is an exercise in hope over expectation.

Personally, I could see Bolasie doing well at the club. He has the delivery that Benteke needs. I know that's an unpopular view.

I can't stress enough, though, that we must get a right back. Losing Wilf is one thing, but Joel Ward is a goal-a-game guy....and not in a good way.

(Much as I love the bloke)

I could see Walcott instead of Bolasie working out for us.
