Enough, enough! I do recall Izal when I was a boy. Like greaseproof paper. Horrible. And I'd forgotten the parachutes we used to make for our toy soldiers. The American clutching a hand grenade looked particularly feisty. The story was in The Times if you want to know.
Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled. |

Would be very surprised if no-one re-signs. PV has been very open about new signings but would be a lot of new ones to bed in without re-signing anyone.

I suspect being able to really build a squad was a selling point. A lot of high salaries off the books, even if the Transfer Budget isn't huge. No one was a fan of FDR, but he was only able to bring in Jairo. Could have been a different story if he'd brought in 8 players that could play to his tactics. PV seems to be just the type we need, defense first, but able to integrate youth and attacking assets as they become available to him. (And he won't get fired if we are 'only' in 11th on the Table) He was a pretty good war President, if a little cautious.

Click bait suggesting we still may re-sign Cahill. I would not be surprised I suspect he is hawking himself around but apart from Rangers I can only see bottom six Pl clubs offering him a deal or the championship. Palace then are still an attractive club it's local and he would have the chance of playing with young up and coming players under PV. As for Rangers I can't see them offering him that much more than us. I would be happy if he stayed useful experience and a leader.

He comes across extremely well in person and I imagine he is a big influence amongst the players both on and off the field. He is also extremely handy at set pieces and has an uncanny knack of scoring more than his fair share of goals.
