“This is a crisis, a large crisis.... in fact if you have a moment, it’s a 12 storey crisis, magnificent entrance hall, carpeting throughout, 24 hour portage , and an enormous sign on the roof saying “This , is a large crisis” - Edmund Blackadder

Is this true that Guaita is injured & Whitworth is in goal tonight with presumably Goodman as back up? Heard/saw a rumour on FB.

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.

Does this count as a victory for Crystal Palace?

Three out of their four home defeats have been against London clubs - Spurs, Arsenal & Fulham. Other one v Aston Villa.

Looks like a win for us!!

Sadly with Eze, Wilf and Olise playing our right and left backs will have no cover and we will be stuffed. Those 3 need service and they won’t get it other than a clearance upfield that may fall to them. The team needs balance, with Olise and Wilf either side and 3 in the middle (Lakonga and Doucoure with Schlup or Ayew) and Edouard up front. Eze coming on later on if needed. I’m expecting us to lose but a better balanced 11 as we had against Man City might just pull off a result? Only problem against City was Zaha as our main forward which just doesn’t work?

An interesting predicted lineup. At least we'd have some stickers on the pitch!

Very open, can't see us going with that but it's what I'd like us to play when the strugglers come to town in the coming weeks.

Estupinan had the freedom of South London when he played us and McAllister, Caicedo and others are their lifeblood. We need a midfield that's going to put a lot of yards in, and then we can maybe look to open up later on.

I'd go something like

Whitworth

Clyne Andersen Guehi Mitchell

Ayew Ahamada Doucoure Lokonga Eze

Zaha

Ayew's role in that is purely to make Estupinan irrelevant. Chance to bring Olise on for the last 20/30 when the game opens up more.

Eze/Zaha the same idea as when we played Liverpool away. Win the ball back and those two just go. Get either of them one on one with their centre backs and I'd back them.

Whoever ends up in goal we need to be nice to him however he performs as it will be a baptism of fire for the poor lad.

Edit its 19 year old Whitworth. Good luck.

They have better players, better workrate, better scouting and, I suspect, a better manager. They're still pr1cks though.
