We have over-paid massively but he is Prem quality at least. Something we always argued about where Gayle was concerned and still are. Fully agree Murray is playing well and did so again today, look how he worked the back line and more importantly his clearances from the back, he was running all over the pitch, just what Benteke needs to learn, this is a team game and not just a Benteke game!

Supported Palace for over 69 years since the age of 7 and have seen all the ups and downs and will probably see many more ups and downs before I go up to the big football club in the sky. |

Probably could have got him for £10mill less in this window coming as there is no way he would have got game time at Anfield. That would have been a more realistic price for his ability.

He seemed very pleased at the move to Bournemouth tbf so maybe his time with us had ended from his side aswell.

Yes, he was delighted to get away, but only because of the way we treated and used him I think, it will be very interesting to see what Brighton do next season with him in the Premiership and I do realise his injury played a huge part in all this.

He is still young enough to improve and may also have not fully settled in with us as yet, what with all the commotion with defending and then having to score and then (((( )))) ...he probably doesn't know whether he is coming or going on the pitch poor man, then he comes on here and sees all this!

We paid top money for Beneteke as it is a sellers market for Strikers who perform at top level, we could of ended up with Bony or Gomis, who appear to have lost form dramatically.

Benteke is class, will come good. That said, Murray and Gayle were always far better than anyone ever rated either of them.
