Who cares... that's what happens on fans sites people speculate on transfers and how much clubs might have to spend. Figures are all based on our interpretation of Parishs comments and no one is purporting them to be facts. Funny how some can comment on 'ITK' information and yet others can't speculate based upon information freely available...

We've seen time after time that our bench and first-change players aren't of the quality needed to compete in the bottom half (not the top half) of the Prem. Unless we're about to get an upgrade on JMac plus another squad-quality midfielder who can hold his own without looking outclassed, remind me on what planet it makes sense to flog Jimmy?

In the absence of hard facts it is reasonable to discuss on the basis of the best assumption that is available, i.e. an educated guess. Anyone who wishes to comment on the basis of a different educated guess is obviously free to say so. Nobody (except you) tried to claim that the figure being discussed was being presented as fact. And if you think the assumption is an unreasonable one you can tell us what in your view would be reasonable, can't you? Or hasn't your pal whispered it in your ear yet?

Have you not read that I am not privy to the information regarding a player 'Budget' ? Not divulged to me nor would I seek an answer. When figures keep getting bandied about, this becomes the narrative and the debate parameters have been set to the extent that people veer on the side of "Fact".The debate then lurches towards the figures being quoted. One can make assumptions but they could be well off the mark, accordingly anything that follows from this is totally meaningless. Let's not get into the assumption that we have "X" to spend so we can afford A,B & C. We have had our say on this, so can we please return to the subject matter and NOT de-rail this thread with other issues.
