The key is being able to blend all those individuals into a team. I have not totalled up their spend - but must be close to £150m-£200m. You have to wonder what the players that got them up feel about the transfer policy - as clearly the manager has little faith in them.

Although history has shown, spending big, buying lots of players to stay up rarely works, I think this will work for Forest. The signings have been sound. I can't look at one of their signings and feel they have over paid for any (Their pursuit of Gibbs-White would be the exception if they get him). Furthermore IMO they have the right manager who can handle a lot of new signings and make them gell quickly. Cooper's 5 years experience in international youth management shows this.

I don't believe it is as high as that figure. As far as I am aware they have signed 14 players for a total fee of around £115 Mill.

The money needs to be used this is why this happens the only time it wont is if the club doesn't care about staying in the league Norwich for example so they used it in other areas. I remember SP even mentioning the money needs to be used in 2 years the 3rd year is very hard and it then becomes a 3 year cycle. On to Palace transfers we need to do something even if it's loans we have 2 places available for ones for domestic and you can have many for players abroad yet we have 0 this makes me think we will wait until end of transfer window to bring in a loan or two. We really need midfielders who can put the ball in the box or even wing backs that can especially the right side also need some one to compete with Wilf to make the manager think a lot of the time he doesn't deserve to play full 90min also need another option different style of player to provide service.

Quite a gamble by Forest. Kouyate and Dennis are good PL signings though. It's tough on the players who got them promoted but they are gambling against being relegated straight away. Spending a fortune is not a guarantee but if it means getting a foothold in the PL it will be worth it to them.

To be honest, I have zero interest in who other clubs are signing. Can we leave this thread for Palace incoming please.
