For me it has to be Don Rogers when we beat Man U 5-0, it was one of the best displays ive ever seen by anyone let alone a Palace player, he was simply fantastic, for all of you younger ones out there who for some reason haven't seen it watch it on you tube, it'll give you goosebumps.

Peter Taylor at Stamford Bridge '76 and Ian Wright last 60 mins against Man U Wembley 1990 plus maybe a Kenny Sansom or two.

Can't argue with any of the above but I do remember games where Andy Gray was imperious. There's no doubt that he was a talented player who was probably not fully committed due to a doubtful life style.

Wonder what he's up to now.

lo Selhurst silva felix, lo Selhurst cara nutrix, viget, vigeat, vigebit! Best team:- Jackson; Gilbert, Evans, Cannon, Sansom; Hughes, Kember, McNichol; Byrne, Holton, Wright.

Andy Roberts in the playoff final we lost to Leicester - scored his first goal of the season after 8 minutes, before putting up a one-man wall at sweeper, which was very nearly enough.

Won't be remembered by many as we lost, but it was possibly the best I've seen.

I have to go along with Don Rogers in the 1972 United match.

However, another one to savour was John "Yogi" Hughes against Sheffield United in 1971. We beat them 5-1 and big John was simply unstoppable that day and scored a 25 yard scorcher in the process - captured on TV.

Sadly he never really came close to ever repeating that performance.

Yes probably my best too. He scored many great goals that season, including his debut v Everton, away to Derby & home to Stoke.

I also saw an amazing performance by John Jackson v Wolves away in 1965. Although we lost 1-0, it could have been a cricket score but for him. It was the at the start of his career & he kept goal brilliantly for the next 8 years.

I wouldn't argue about any of the above. Don Rogers v Man U brings tears to my eyes.

However, in more recenbt times I'd nominate this one:-

Walsall 3 Palace 4, 4 days after we beat Brighton 5-0.
Oct 2002. Andy Johnson tore them to shreds and scored a completely brilliant hat-trick, plus it was his shot that rebounded to Doogie for the other one. It was that game, rather than the Brighton one, that made me realise how good he was.

Zaha, Williams, Murray, Ambrose, Scannell.

i also have to go for Don Rogers against m.u. But there was an evening game in the dark cold and wet , against everton, 0-0, John Jackson verses everton. i was only young, behind the goal in the whitehorse end . My god, that bloke was a bloody hero, non stop they pounded him, he saved, stopped, pushed, parried, everything, the look of determination, gutts and concentration on his face i can still see to this day, he would not let them beat him.bloody hero.great man.
