This is me playing in goal for Sylvan High School in the Croydon Schools Cup Final in 1980.

I played at Selhurst Seth, in the 1987 Croydon Schools Cup Final for Lanfranc against Sylvan....which we won 3-0

We had the away dressing rooms. I remember sitting their at the end of the game thinking of the legends that had sat in that room: Charlton, Best, Moore.....

I also remember feeling a little down as this was the closest i'd ever get to living the dream.

You too! We won our game 2-1 and were in the home dressing room so I could dream of all the Palace legends I was sharing the space with. We all went in the bath after the game and all I could think of was Fiona Richmond!

You two are bloody show offs,I played at SP in the schools cup final for Kensington Avenue mid 60s.....we lost 1-0 against Beulah

And they say its the taking part that counts..... is it bollux,it still hurts...fcking hated Beulah school after that

Just came across this on a Russian football site - apparently it's Selhurst!

Anyone recognise the picture and have any idea when it was taken ?

Definitely 1969 with the match against Blackpool having been cancelled half-way through. The TV cameras were there as it was the only game on. The crane is the indication of the proposed development of the AW, which happened in the close season, as Palace were promoted. Many students turned up at the behest of AW himself to make sure the stand was completed in time for the opening fixture v Man Utd. The last few games of that season saw fans standing on the half-built AW stand, especially the 35,000+ v Millwall. Wouldn't be allowed these days.

It's definitely Selhurst. I've got that pic in my Palace folder on my computer. I would guess taken in 1968/69 season. If you look carefully, you can see a crane and what looks like building work at the back of what was then the Park Road Side. That could have been the start of the building work for the AJ Wait stand. Hope that helps.

Yes i would agree 68/69
