Glenn Murray, who has been injured for 9 months has shorter odds to be Palaces top goal scorer than Cameron Jerome.

God he really is poor

We could do better than Jerome, thats for sure. Unlucky not to score against Wigan but generally toothless.

Hope so! He's strong, alert and full of running, but not doing his ultimate job - put the blo..y ball in the net.

Yet Wilbraham attracts plaudits whilst being equally unfit for purpose.

It's a queer old world.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

That's probably because one is getting praise for over-performing, albeit in only a handful of games, and the other is judged to be under-performing. If you look at their contracts and how much it'd probably cost us to buy Jerome, I think that saying he is under-performing is pretty fair in comparison.

As good as he may be as a target man, if you're playing as a striker in the Premier League and when unchallenged hit a volley from 7 yards out over the bar, you're unfit for purpose.

We'd barely have scored any goals were it not for Jerome. Ok, he's not a goal scorer but he is responsible for most of our chance creation.

Not all center forwards are goal scorers. His role is akin to Alan Lee's, target man.

That chance wasn't as easy as many people thought - the ball was slightly behind him and he had to lean back to get it. I agreed he should have done better though. If you want an example of a real howler, I'm sure many fans remember the Vassilis Lakis miss against Arsenal at Selhurst Park - that was shortly after Aki Riihilahti had levelled the game for us. Those misses haunt you for life!!

he's built like a brick outhouse, hasn't he got a head?couldnt he have headed that ball? No, its was that easy, even he thought he couldnt miss and kicked it. that was one of the poorest misses for a while now, almost as comical as Clintons air shot in front of the Kop the week after he gave Michael Owen advice on form lmao

You'd get abuse for that miss as a non-league player. He is a long-term Premier League striker. No excuses. That has to hit the back of the net.

(and he had plenty of time to set himself)

oh and so on the money...The fact we are actually talking about Wilbrahimovic as being a possible alternative shows just how low rent we are at the moment
