We're playing to our strengths. Very counter attacking but unlike under freddman (similar counter attacking style) the players close down alot more so when not in possession. cyprus. lucky git. Edited by matthau (28 Jan 2014 8.59pm)

Totally agree. The defence are doing a great job. Closing down really well and yeah I know I am a lucky git hahaha

Yep, I'm watching this one in Stockholm. Can't wait to lord it over the all the Swedish Liverpool supporters in the office tomorrow. Who says you can't be rude to a client? :-)

By the way, as easy as it is to get carried away by the moment -- and boy, is it easy tonight, it's actually very important to remember that we are NOT playing like a Premiership team right now. What we are playing like is an incredibly well organised, disciplined, spirited and courageous championship team that is out of its depth but through sheer force of will is getting the rub of the green. I think it was the golfer Gary Player who once said "I find that the more practice, the luckier I get". We are the living embodiment of that. I say this not to knock us...simply because TP and the team have put us in a fantastic position to survive but now the board HAVE TO STEP UP AND TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE OPPORTUNITY BY BRINGING IN PREMIERSHIP QUALITY PLAYERS between now and Friday. If they do, I have absolutely no doubt we will stay up.

What a wonderful victory, but in our first half hour of 2nd half we had all the luck in the world. Only DD kept us in during that period.
