Great all round team effort last night.

Someone who has taken a lot of stick I thought was immense last night. Some of his skill in receiving the ball in the first half was brilliant as indeed was the lay off to collegues.

His running across the line was tireless Even in nthe second half when we were under siege a bit he was still full of running . He often gestured to others to "push up" but he never got frustrated when they didn't. Just thought the guy deserved a special mention

His chasing, closing down, and cutting off options to the back 3/5 was outstanding.

Jerome being on top form and a regular has been a major part of our big turnaround. Can't bury a chance, but he can start the good habits from up top that we need in our infancy.

I agree with offering him a permanent contract but it'll be interesting to see what happens if we do stay up. We'll have the option on Chamakh, have Gayle and Murray, and possibly have Jerome. Possible one more from this window as well. Will we want 5?

Another thing in playing Jerome over, say Gayle, is the difference someone his size makes when we are defending set- pieces, corners etc. I think this is a factor behind Pulis' definite preference over the bigger size players. Someone like Gayle is probably more of a liability in our own penalty area. Cameron and Chamakh are putting in shifts week in, week out and their premiership experience is a huge factor. Gayle on if we are behind , but to defend a lead its Jerome all day long.
