I'm sure I don't need to spell out why I'm impressed with all the arrivals (at any rate, I'm not going to do it at 11pm on a Friday night) but an outstanding day's business by Parish and Moody. Given that I had my doubts and expressed them very publicly and very often, it would be churlish of me not to equally publicly acknowledge that they proved me wrong...in spades...and it would seem that SP is very much the shrewd and patient negotiator some of you believed him to be but I didn't. With all that said, I'm delighted to proved so wrong.

Really fantastic days work. I don't think there's really much that more that I'd have wanted us to get short of a Ba-class forward which was never really an option. And to be honest, of the sort of forward we might have got (Walters, Rhodes, McCormack, etc.) none were either real scorers or proven in the Premiership so I'm not that unhappy we missed out.

Anyway, my hat is off to Mr. Parish.

Fair play Syd. What a fantastic ending to the transfer window and we can really start believing now. If only we can get something from the Emirates now....

Given our appalling record at Highbury / Emirates its unlikely but WBA will be f***ing exciting with that squad to choose from.

Nice post Syd. As you know I always really believed in Moody. This time around the window could barely have been managed better, it shows what a true professional can do.

My hat is off to you for so quickly righting your wrong.

Cringeworthy thread!

Look forward to the next one at the end of August when the likes of Syd again have to announce they were complete irrational numpties in the run up to the transfer window closing.

We're very lucky to have cpfc2010. Thanks guys and please recognise the vast majority will be behind you all the way whilst you have the best interests of the club at heart.

Ok, we have a bad record at Highbury, but we are unbeaten at the Emirates!

The board has come through and now it is time for this side to come together and show the quality they are capable of, starting with Arsenic. This club is fully capable of rising up the table. Well done, the Board for not only bringing in fresh talent but chopping away some of the deadwood.
