Superb manager. Really good. He's gonna keep us up for sure.

But hearing his post-match interview it is obvious that he hasn't got an ounce of love for Palace and to him it is just a job and a great challenge.

Venables, Coppell and even Dowie......they somehow belonged even if short-lived for two of them.

Is this the reason why there are no TP songs? The fact that we all know that this relationship has zero to do with passion and everything to do with pragmatism?

I love the fact we are going to stay up but i don't like the other fact that I can't warm to our manager even though i admire him.

The drawback of success?

He'll come to love us, you'll see

I know exactly what you mean.

youve got that feeling bigger club real fans get I guess.

you know have a successful team and competent enough to beat alot of opponents now.

But at the same time you actual team or staff feel totally alien to what your club always was.

like a shallow arrogance somewhat.

still...enjoy the ride.

its about time us palace fans became fans of a true premiership standard team

I was very 'light' until the post-match interview.

It just feels very strange after so many years to finally get a fvcking good manager in the top league but at the same time having to realise that he will always care more about Stoke than he will about us.

There was a round of TP's red and blue army today and I think you're confusing his extreme levelheadedness for not caring. When have you ever seen TP really show his emotion? It's just not his way.

He's just an employee (albeit pivotal and highly paid one who's doing exactly what is says on his cap) of the club. Managers and players come and go - we the fans are permanent.

I think you're expecting too much here. Managers and players are never as emotionally invested in the team as fans are. It is a job for Pulis, and nothing wrong with that. He is a hired gun tasked with keeping us up. As long as he does that (and he's, of course, well on his way) I'm fully satisfied. Do you really want a manager who behaves and emotes like a fan? Running a roller coaster of emotions? I'll gladly take my manager focused, professional, and even-tempered.

I'd rather have a guy in charge who's good at his job than some incompetent halfwit who 'loves' the club. Get a grip, something special is happening, enjoy it!

Gotta agree with the consensus here, Kerm.

I really like my job, don't mind going into work each day, but I don't LOVE my company.

I could never decide whether I liked Warnock or not. There were times when I definitely didn't. But I could see that he has something about him and (I think) archived a lot. He had fondness for us, but we were never going to be his favourite child.

Whilst I don't begrudge him having affection for Sheffield United, the extent to which he went on about it bugged me. It's like he couldn't get over their relegation and the whole Tevez affair, even though the world had moved on and he was now employed by a club that had nothing to do with that situation.

But in comparison, we have Holloway. I referred to this earlier; to me he seemed really keen to buy-in to the Palace spirit, which is brilliant. But he seemed too keen to impress and fit in but failed to communicate his ideas. Maybe an element of pragmatism is required, head over heart. As you said, the hint of arrogance; the confidence to say 'this is how we're going to do it.'

Glad I didn't see the interview, just pleased to win, and win well.
