NO I am saying it can be a contributing factor! How many life long Palace would attend more games if costs where kept low?

Block C is a completely different atmosphere to last year and it's nowhere near as good for instance about 4 or 5 lads who stood in front of me have moved or stopped going (maybe that's my fault)they always got behind the team and sung .
The people who have replaced them barely even clap but stand throughout and every week it's a different friend taken along with them .Thats not a problem at all the problem I see is a lot of people who are vocal or want to join in are now sat in Blocks away from A B C because they can't get tickets.
I love my seat in Block C but will probably try to move into B next year

we won;t get the same volume of fans no. Unfortunately that is just life. I know people with season tickets this year that don't even support Palace!! Not sure they'd renew to go see Doncaster.

As we get more established in the Prem it will get harder to buy seats at short notice. Hopefully that means that the very occasional supporters won't come so much. People coming regularly should get into the swing of things after a few matches.

What this thread does demonstrate is the importance of the HF. Not by any means because it is the source of most of the noise, in real terms when we are noisiest they are drowned out. But what they do is make it normal to sing and keep singing. Otherwise songs generally only do one round, they keep them going for 5 minutes plus sometimes.

I suspect without the HF we would just slowly become the same as the rest of the Prem, should we stay in it.

I had a debate with myself about whether we could have two Ultra groups, maybe even one in the Whitehorse. I am pretty sure that pre-Sainsburys the Whitehorse used to sing, although never like the Holmesdale or the Arthur. The answer has to be no, they would end up competing and just mess everything up.

It does annoy me sometimes - and certainly happened on Saturday - when the Arthur starts a song and the HF in the middle of it start a different one. I don't understand why that happens, maybe it's arrogance, maybe they have a song sheet, maybe they can't hear anything outside their area.

Isn't the best thing that could happen for the HF to grow bigger and spread into the Arthur? Got a feeling I am now going to get it in the neck from the proud Arthur massive. I also have absolutely no idea if the HF has some form of 'recruiting sergeant' and if it would even welcome growth.
