Just as a suggestion, as the HF seem to get tarred with the same brush whenever there's trouble in block B. Would it not be beneficial for them to switch to a block on the other side of the lower Holmesdale?

It could work in everyone's favour as they'd spread the singing and perhaps increase the atmosphere?

About time this thread ended hey ladies? It seems to have turned into a slagging off match between the supporters. It also seems that the HF seem to be escape goats for any borderline behaviour. Of course throwing coins is wrong as it's a waste of money throwing them at the hooker f***1ng w@nker Rooney (Obviously has some mummy issues going on). I never saw any plane gestured & I was next to B block. I never heard the away London supporters as they were drowned out all game long.
So why don't we end & refrain from starting just stupid threads & get on with supporting the team instead of playing keyboard warriors against each other.
Personally my biggest shock of the day was we never beat them, I was positive we'd be 8 nil up by half time! I guess watching 3 home game wins in a row increased my expectations somewhat!

What on earth are 'escape goats'? I take it you mean 'scapegoats'! Is this really the level of English that we expect on here now?
In any case, the coins were thrown from the HF area - you cannot deny that - just as they were against Watford a year or so ago.

Back to the question of someone 'conducting' the HF - seems an incredible waste of money to buy a ticket and then not even watch the game, but perhaps that tells you all you need to know about the 'ultras' - that the football doesn't really matter.

Is there really any need for this? I'm sure everybody knows what the poster meant. I wasn't aware that this site was only for the gramatically correct, I thought it was for football/ Palace discussions, not "lets take the pi*s out of somebody because they are not as eloquent as you".

And while I'm hear, what differance does it make if someone decides to stand with their back to the game? Does it affect you in any way? Just like the person who watches the game quitely from a corporate box, not my cup of tea, but if you pay your money you are intitled to watch/not watch the game in any manner you choose.

I've just sat here and read every single reply to this thread and would like to add a few things.

I have sat in block B for 5 years now and I've got to know a lot of the HF lads. Most of them are really decent lads. Obviously there is a few who will fight if threatened or provoked but they are a NON VIOLENT GROUP. Most of them are just like any other fan in the ground who love palace. Some of these lads was doing there 8 hour shifts at work and then putting in another 10 hours making this display possible. They never demand it but they certainly deserve huge respect for what they do.

Re coins: Not everyone in block B is associated with the HF and with all the things they have to worry about at the moment ( Dorrans and the port manor, the papers and bad press they get) do you really think they would be that stupid? These lads are not idiots and I can almost assure you that it wasn't a HF member who threw a coin. Also remembering that if the culprit was wearing a black jacket then it doesn't necessarily mean they are HF.

Re aeroplane gestures: this is a short one. The rules were simple, anyone found doing this in the block would have been removed by HF members.

These guys are not what people make out. Anyone with any doubts about them or who continuously slate them maybe come down when they are setting out the next display. Have a look before you judge the book by its cover.

"Re aeroplane gestures: this is a short one. The rules were simple, anyone found doing this in the block would have been removed by HF members."

The HF make rules for the whole block?

Not official rules, but any palace fan seen doing that within distance would have been removed. Heck I would have done it myself. It's sick and not wanted.

Don't get me wrong Tippee, it was disgusting to see in the AW and all rather shameful as I have said previously.

However, let's not make out that HF are entitled to make 'rules' official or not.

95% of what they do I commend entirely - however some of their actions and reactions to away players in that corner are what others in turn may also find unwanted and unnecessary.

That's may be Tippee, but most contributers here are just keen to identify the silly boys doing this 'stuff'and trying to get it stopped. Its no good for them and does even less for the average football supporter. So any idea who these morons are? My apologies to any good fellows among the HF. Just concerned, like you.

I get that, whoever done it deserves what punishment they get. It's a cowardly thing to do. It's just the whole " let's blame the HF " philosophy that's annoying. There's no shred of evidence yet to who it was yet people are saying " the HF give us a bad name ". Or " they don't help them selves"

INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY

Also I'm not a member of the HF .

Good on yer Tips. Any chance of you becoming a stewart of the guardian angel sort? They sit on the underground in NY and forcibly remove the s***e that descends therein. They get good support from other customers, those who were originally too afraid to do anything. It has increased the underground takings by up to 20%. What you and yours could do for T'Eagles!

I could never give you an answer to that, but I'm almost sure they wouldn't move. I'm not being rude in anyway towards you, I'm just trying to make a point and I'm not too sure how to word it. It's like somebody suggesting you move to the other end of the ground because on one particular occasion there was an idiot sitting 10 rows behind you who threw a coin. You might have sat in your seat for many years. Do you understand what I'm trying to say?

Plus I would love to see members of the HF standing in front of every block, all four stands, trying to get the whole ground going!

It's not rules as such. If the bloke next to you was say racially abusing Evra for example. It's not in the rules for you to say anything to him nor is it your problem to sort out. So I'm assuming you would just sit there and let him continue.?

In regards to the abuse towards players. I respect anyone's opinions on the subject, but i personally see nothing wrong with a bit of abuse. As long as there is no obvious racial intent or anything. Hey if you paid me 300k per week you can call me a fat fookin, banker all day long

What do we go for, the Identify the Culprit or allow the Club to be charged by the FA?

Let's hope the CCTV and/or the help of loyal supporters are able to identify the Culprit.
