While I think getting a point at Swansea was a definite positive I was not comfortable with our mid-field. As much as I want Ward to play at full back I think we are going to have to play him in mid-field because today I was not overly impressed with KG and Ledley. I think this mid-field area of our team is one which Pulis needs to dwell upon because its the power house of our attack and I did not see enough effort coming from this area today to make me believe we could generate an attacking force there from. I think I would be happier with Puncheon playing mid-field and perhaps even Okeefe but we have to focus on his area to see how we can improve it and get some decent through balls to Murray.

The balance between the attack and defence was all wrong 1st half, 7 outfield defensive minded players and 3 further up. If nobody can bring the ball out of defence there is a huge gap which sucks the attacking players back as well. Need to be a lot more adventurous in midfield, particularly as we do now have enough flexibility in the squad to set up in a variety of formations.

TP admitted he got the tactics wrong. I think in the first half he wanted to stifle Swansea right across the pitch, but the formation didn't really work

First of all - Pulis in please - no need to have a go at him in my opinion even though it sounds like he might have got it wrong in the first half.
We seem to lack ambition at times which is probably the problem for us against teams who TP preceives are better than us - however - if we have a clean sheet at half time then he is proved to be right.
If we had gone at Swansea from the off would we have conceded more - who knows?
I think against S'hampton and Villa at home he will give it a go - they are must win games beyond doubt - win them and we have 33 points - not many more to fin after that.
A bit more belief in ourselves - with TP at the helm from the start of the season and with our squad we would have been safe by now!

It seemed to me that Tony Pulis changed the tactics at half-time to be more direct, (hoofball), which worked fine. I'm pleased to say that this was the first time I've seen this season where we have played in this manner for long periods of the game. I'm also pleased to see that generally speaking hoofball hasn't been our preferred option.

I would put Ward at LB as Parr has been poor.
