One of the most exciting last day's of the season, probably since Manchesty City last won the title saw Chelsea lose to a plucky Cardiff side, and City win the title with two goals from their hero of 2012 Aguero.
But it was at the other end of the table where the real drama happened, and what drama it was. This is how the table looked before kick off.

Fulham, who had all but been relegated due to their poor goal difference, were quickest out of the box against fellow strugglers Palace, with a converted penelty scored by Palace old boy Andy Johnson in the second minute. Half way through the second and with West Brom winning at home to Stoke, Sunderland winning at home to Swansea, cardiff winning at home to Chelsea and Norwich drawing at home to Arsenal it looked as though Palace's season in the top flight would end in disaster. Everywhere you looked fans had radios and phones pressed to their ears.
Palace were throwing everything at Fulham in the dying minutes, even the normaly stoic Pullis seemed to be kicking and heading every ball, then as they entered stoppage time a buzz spread around the ground as the unbelievable news came in that Giroud had scored for Arsenal. As the final whistles blew around the premiership grounds every fan of the bottom six clubs got their calculators out to work out the almost unfathomable algorithm. Soon it was clear, the table looked like this.

News flashes around the country showed Poyet dancing with the Sunderland fans, The Palace fans singing at Craven cottage long after the match had ended, Norwich fans crying and Cardiff fans wondering if their Red strip really was the downfall of their season. In an interview with Sky sports Tony Pullis summed it up, saying it had been a dramatic last day and in reflection it was all about defending at the bottom end of the table, "Goal Difference has been critical at the end of the day, since i've been at the club everyone of my players has put their bodies on the line to stop the opponents scoring and i'm proud of them all"
