I actually do agree with the subs being poor. Bannan was a good idea as Yala was tiring, but that sapped the pace on the one wing. Taking Puncheon off was a huge mistake though. That killed both wings which is where we were taking the game to them. Guediora on sure, but for KG who was knackered and giving the ball away. We sat back against a good side when we shouldn't and it cost us. A point would have been a fair result and I'm very encouraged and impressed by the way we played in the first half and the first half hour of the second. Play like that with Chamakh back and we'll do well against Cardiff, Villa, Fulham and West Ham.

I really thought the ref was going to blow when they built up that attack near the half way line. That is sickening.

Unlucky not to get a point but at least Fulham, Cardiff, Sunderland, West Brom & Swansea all lost. Hopefully United beat West Ham too. Edited by Gyro1780 (22 Mar 2014 5.01pm)

Rubbish .... we worked really well and were taking it to Newcastle in the early part of the 1st half....can't believe the ref gave us nothing when Bannan was being wrestled when closing in on goal...and their goal was after time added on! Thought we had nullified Ben Arfa, but he found a good lofted pass to a guy who finally found a bit of space....Still at least we haven't been stuff like Fulham, and Cardiff.

Such a shame we looked good all game apart from a lack of class up top as always. Ledley, Bolaise, all the defenders and Speroni were class. Jedi is a good ball winner but on the ball, not so much.

The way it was, one of us were going to score very very soon, unfortunately it was them first and at the worst possible time. Extremely disappointing result, because it could have so easily been us sneaking that winner.

Absolutely, rubbish refereeing all game. Let the match continue for an extra 30 seconds while Newcastle are dithering with the ball in midfield. I want to break something.
