Give me mid-table any day. 5-10 yrs in the Prem and we could have really moved the club and stadium on a lot. Add in that the chance of a really top notch player playing for us....would be great.

Assuming that TP was here from day 1 of the season we may have got 10 points from the first 10 games rather then 4. A final position of say 37 points would perhaps have been 43 by adding the additional 6. This would still indicate a position very much in the lower half with every point hard earned next year. Wont be easy.

Or we establish ourselves in the prem, step by step build a new stadium invest in the squad and gradually improve and enjoy it when we still turn over he big boys, just like we did Chelski. This misty eyed yearning for inferior football just makes me laugh.

Already I see a new breed of supporter at Selhurst who expects instant success. The players aren't quite as approachable in the car park pre match. The likes of Johnny Williams don't seem likely to break into the team as quickly.

So, you want the club to need to sell every young prospect before we get the chance to enjoy them, for us to be relegated and flirt with relegation/promotion and go into administration every ten years? As long as the new breed are paying their entrance fee, they can expect what they like. I have no idea how approachable the players are before a game as I'm in the pub, tbh what the fvck does that matter? If Jonny was good enough, he'd be in the team, truth is, he isn't.
