Has to be Martyn, Speroni and Budgie since I started watching Palace in 1979... all 3 are sheer class and it is hard to decide.

How many times did NM win player of the year? That's the measure of how well Speroni has done for our club over 10 plus years. No argument on best keeper.

Well, no one will ever surpass Jacko for me; my favourite ever Palace player. But I have to say, Jools runs him about as close as anyone is ever likely to and from me, that's a high compliment given how I feel about Jacko.

The Palace have had several excellent keepers and I pick,Martyn,Jules,Jackson and Burridge as being exceptional.I suppose each one has his strengths and weaknesses but the aforementioned four seldom if ever let us down and I enjoyed watching them all in action.

Because we had Wright, Bright, Thomas, Salako etc then. Jackson for me, then Martyn, then Suckling (great before his confidence went after the 9-0).

Exactly my point. The others played in more competitive teams and didn't have to do as much work as Speroni. Without him we would not be where we are now.

Nigel Martyn. He just is the best. Speroni is great too but not quite as great.

I seem to remember an amazing save from Andy Booth at home to Huddersfield in a 0-0 in in hmmmmm 95/96ish that actually got a standing ovation for about 2 minutes.

Was that when he got from one post to the other as the striker thought he had a simple tap in? If so, I remember thinking that it was IMPOSSIBLE.

Not forgetting Fraser Digby, he was immense.

Not as immense as Kevin "Fatboy" Miller.

For me, Jules, Nige and Jacko are the best but I can't put them in an order. They were all great and leave it at that.

Not the case for much of Jackson's career - People said he should play for England because he had to make so many more saves per game than keepers playing for the top teams

Having seen Jacko, Nigel and Jules, I rate Jacko the best I've seen - then Jules and Nigel about the same... but all are/were top keepers.

Speroni has had more clean sheets in a worse side then Martyn and they have played around the same amount of games.
