Yeah, Salako was pants up until 1989 but suddenly..in 1990.. When Coppell changed his role he looked absolutely bloody fantastic all the way through until he cricked his knee. Stand out player on England's tour of the Far East I remember and a shoe-in for the Euro Champs in '92 had he been fit.

I remember that Simon Osborn was simultaneously the best and worst passer of a football at the club. He could play a 60 yard crossfield pass to feet off the outside of his boot but then try to pass 5 yards sideways and somehow manage to boot it out of play.
