There's a first choice and buyout option on Wilfs loan if I am not mistaken. If we pay £5m it has to be accepted. Is Wilf worth £5m? The 2 goals and penalty win in the playoffs alone are worth over £70m. I would.

My take on it is at the moment wilf is going nowhere well not until the season finishes anyhow & now until the end whatever the outcome it will probably decide wilfs future. I don't know the ins & outs of the Utd agreement.

I would be pleased if we were after someone like Enrique. He looks a little off the pace at the moment but he surely just needs game time as he doesn't seem to have any issues from the knee problem that keep him out for so long.

When I saw the article I was hopeful of some interest but I don't see how the loan would work and don't believe it to be true. Still fell for the headline.. Premier league has turned me into a drooling idiot.

What I heard, for what it's worth, is that Wilf still wants to give it a go at United and doesn't want to come back to Palace permanently.

If van Gaal doesn't want him then at the end of the season then Wilf would have to consider his options and in that situation I'd hope he chooses to come back where he's loved and has been at his best.

After all, Wilf's one of our own.

You got a link to that anywhere? I haven't seen that before and would be surprised if those details were in the public domain.

EDIT: IMO, Wilf is definitely worth at least £5m. No question.

I thought this thread was about Enrique..which could be an interesting development but yet again, somehow, it's hijacked with more "please get Wilf or don't" stuff. I appreciate all the chap's done and he's a Palace legend, no matter what the future holds but this is supposed to be about Enrique!! I want news about a fukkin fullback when I click on stuff which could potentially relate to a FULLBACK!!! AAAAARGH!

It is relevant as all the articles claim that we are looking at Enrique on loan and for that to be true we would either have to sign Zaha permanently or else send him back as we already have our full allocation of loans from Premiership clubs

I do remember reading that in the press at the time we took him on loan but there again I read the same thing about Murray's loan to Reading and that appears not to be true

It might be that either Zaha (turned 22 in Nov.) or Sanogo (turns 22 in 2 weeks) is a "youth loan" and I think that's separate from the regular 2 loans.

For the 2014/15 campaign Under 21 players will have been born on or after 1st January 1993, so as Zaha's DoB is 10 Nov 1992 he is over age, Yaya Sanogo's DoB is 27 January 1993, he is almost 4 weeks under age so it could well be a youth loan.

Where did you get this information?

The 2014/15 FA Rules are:

6.6.5 Youth Loan Transfers
[Youth Loan Transfers apply to :-
• Scholars in their second or third (if that option is exercised) year of their Scholarship
agreement, or
• Contract Players aged 20 or under on 1 July immediately preceding the Playing
Season in question.

Sanogo was 21 on 1 July 2014 so would not qualify...
