budapest hotel 5/10 good acting from ralph fiennes but it did not work as plot

Watched it on Saturday, loved it. Best film I've seen for ages. 9/10.

I also loved it, but I love Wes Andersons movies, I think I could just watch him filming a garden.

I watched this drivel the other day, paper thin plot masked by quirkey charactors and oppulent or gawdy backdrops.

In the words of Catherine Tates "nan" whata load of ol sh1t.

Plot is for pooftahs and vampire romances.

I'm disappointed, I saw you'd posted in this thread and was expecting to see a review of Nuns in the Bum 34

Its a classic.

I to was dissapointed to see you had posted, but thought I might see an insightful critic about rapey bum sex and hammers, a guide for beginers No2 .

But alas no such thing to while away my lunch hour. Instead I find some noncey bollicks about an even nonceier film.

Birdman - 8.5 out of 10

A really different film which was bold in its approach. I liked the subtext, the actors were brilliant and the incidental humour was enjoyable too. A few plot difficulties for me but I get the impression that's what the director wanted.

I watched this saturday round a mates and it's nearly 2 hours of my life I won't get back.

Like you say it was bold in it's approach I like the way Norton bounced off Keaton but it was all a bit WTF and if this is supposed to be an adaptation of a comic book hero and is what you are looking for then don't waste you're time.

2/10

What else we watched

Gaurdians of the galaxy

Thought this was ok for a comic book adaptation film as I'm not into the DC/Marval thing but this film had it's moments.

7/10

Exodus gods and kings

Again biblical adaptations ain't my thing but this was quite good at the beggining and Bale plays a good role, but after the plagues and sea parting it got a bit cack so turned off before the end.

6/10

Lone Survivor - The cast and the plot look cheesy: Mark Wahlberg-led team of US Navy Seals go into a gunfight in Afghanistan. However, once the mission starts, the action becomes increasingly more intense and disturbing than anything I've ever seen. It's based on a real story, too.

8/10
