Tiger Woods.

He's got as much chance of winning this as The Masters after all.

Optimistic as ever

i will be backing spring heeled. Managed to get three of the first four last year, cannot see three to pick this time around, so will go with the old mans old method......if in doubt, do no.19 e/w? as good a system as any in the national?( no idea who no.19 is mind!).

just checked, Godsmejudge is no.19, sod it, why not?!

Good selection

I have prepared one of my own time capsules. I have placed some rather large samples of dynamite, gunpowder and nitroglycerin. My time capsule is set to go off in the year 3000. It will show them what we are really like.

At the moment I'm thinking the following all each way. Alvarado & Saint Are have great chances and 2 outsiders who may place and worth a quid Mon Parrain & The Rainbow Hunter

Soll, Rocky Creek, Rebel Rebellion and The Druids Nephew all best in at the weights, which for a long distance handicap could count at the business end should they get that far.

Living down here does have some advantages. At least you can see them cry.

I've backed these:

Royale Knight, Alvarado, Oscar Time, Chance Du Roy

Outsiders: Gas Line Boy, Owega Star

Alvarado finished 4th last year ridden by Paul Maloney, who has finished placed in six consecutive Nationals: Alvarado 4th, Cappa Bleu 2nd, 4th, State Of Play 4th, 3rd, 4th.

Holywell beaten comprehensively by Sylviniaco Conti who relished a flat track.

Jezki a very fortunate winner as Artic Fire looked all over the winner before falling at the last and badly hampering Rock On Ruby.

According to an eminent bookie/pundit, more than £50M will be riding on McCoy's mount in the National.
