I was listening to The Doors and Siouxsie-The Scream and I'm afraid the choices have gone into a state of fluidity! Ollie's Dad,Ash.

Too difficult to do only 10. Often an artist's best work is spread over several albums so it is rather redundant to talk about specific albums.

Having said that, here are some that would be contenders that work well as stand alone albums.

A New World Record - ELO
Sheer Heart Attack - Queen
Destroyer - Kiss
Alive II - Kiss
Unleashed In The East - Judas Priest
Ziggy Stardust - David Bowie
Hunky Dory - David Bowie
Electric Warrior - T Rex
Sweet Fanny Adam - Sweet
Billion Dollar Babies - Alice Cooper
Bat Out Of Hell - Meat Loaf
Led Zeppelin III - Led Zeppelin
Goodbye Yellow Brick Road - Elton John
The Kick Inside - Kate Bush
Escape - Journey
Van Halen - Van Halen
Tea For The Tiller Man - Cat Stevens
Teaser And The Firecat - Cat Stevens
Montrose - Montrose
Actung Baby - U2
Neil Young Harvest

There are more..........
