There are those who are being judgemental about a particular episode in his lifetime.I'm not privy to all the facts but I thought I would re-dress the balance by stating how I found him on the occasions I met him.Found him to be a very nice and erudite chap. Hitler would also come across a portrait of suave aplomb

No problem with a guy wanting nothing to do with his daughter. In my opinion, either parents should get involved as much as possible or take no part. Its the ones that just fulfil their own guilty feelings and flip flop between the two that cause the damage.
