Pardew has to have something in mind surely if he is willing to ditch our top scorer, gayle. I really hope this guy is our target. Bony would also be a good option, but he offers a completely different type of skill set to benteke. Just imagine someone of bentekes class in the box getting on headers, scoring poachers goals and winning the occasional penalty through "strong tackles" 😜 I'm sure Delaney will be very happy to see him join! The question is who are the other strikers that are coming in cause we need a couple? Could babacar be the understudy?

Wouldn't Townsend be a better '10' than Bolasie? Other than that... wow. Still, maybe a 'playmaking' 10 might be better though?

I honestly can't believe some people are saying no because of the dive last season! If we thought like that we would never sign anyone bloody hell. I honestly thought we were being used as a smokescreen for this one and I so excited and impressed this may actually come off. If we do get him, Mandanda and Townsend then we won't have much trouble attracting the other players we may want in this window. That will give us 4 top quality international players in our team with those 3 and Cabaye. throw in Wilf and Yala and my god we are building something. Yes he is similar to Wickham but with Appiah coming back this season he could be the striker that offers something else. Yes i know he was out all of last season but he improved enough in a couple of years to become an international footballer and scored gaols for Reading in the championship. He has serious pace and works hard, I think he will offer us another option but I also expect us to be in for at least one other striker too.

No, no, no. We need to upgrade on Delaney (even more important than a striker imo)...Townsend, zaha and yala compete for positions....so Yala drops to the bench. We shouldn't try and play people out of position. Puncheon is a far better option in the hole there. A pretty special team though. Peakin' for Benteke.

Swap Wilf and a Bolasie! Wilf can't cross the ball and a direct route into the box is something we've been crying out for. He'd be a proper threat there and Bolasie has proven he is better on the wing.
So I manage a Workshop which provides a safe learning environment for blokes struggling with PTSD and other mental health issues. Being a Palace fan isn't listed yet. |
