Find it strange people seem so massively against this, linked with Stoke by the looks of it, but hes only 32, and even if not at his peak hes got a 1 in 2 record for club and country and is talent wise miles ahead of most of our squad. As well as this he'd be signable for a relatively small fee(obvs wages will be high) and you would think he has plenty left in him as he's largely held up injury wise in the last few years.Surely worth a go on a 1/2 year deal

he's 32 not 35 and never did rely on pace so yes. He could well do well for a couple of seasons for us.

BUT

all the press articles indicate he's after 200k plus a week.

I don't think Palace will pay that much.
