Apparently so, because neither the US public or the Police seem to give a s**t about the ones that aren't black. Turns out, ordinary law abiding black people care more about their own people than white people seem to. Where is the campaign for poor white people killed by the police - there isn't one, because no one's been paying attention and raising the issue. Don't expect other people to fight for your rights, you have to fight for them yourself.

When the police behave like this with middle or upper class people, there is a huge fuss. BLM are able to use these shootings because they are able to tap into a broader narrative of historical oppression. Poor white people, particularly in the south, are part of the problem for the part of the political spectrum that claims to care. All this has been highlighted by the fact that many blue collar white people are voting for Trump, or for Sanders, as they have both offered an alternative to the mainstream which, in turn, has rejected them for having the audacity to stay poor (Republican), or for have the gall to remain poor and white (Democrat).

Of course the issue isn't then that white people are in the same situation, but that the Police are killing poor people with relative impunity. I'd recommend focusing on the poor, rather than the white aspect, associate it with the issue of police brutality of black and Hispanics, and maybe build a coailition. The real issue here is the impunity of the police, not the ethnicity of the victim. There will always be those who believe otherwise, but if you stick to the key issue, police brutality against the poor, and cover black as well as white, you'll move forwards more than some people will try to push you back.

Black people are being killed with impunity, but not by cops. Every 14 hours a black male is murdered in Chicago. Shall we speak about that, will Fox News have phone ins? Will politicians condemn it? Will people march in the streets? No,(mainly) white liberals don't seem to care... White people get held to a higher standard than some black dude from the ghetto. White man kills a black guy= criminal, put him in jail. Black guy kills another black....nothing,it's like we think ah well... What do you expect? We should all be held accountable for our actions, and as long as the white liberal puts the bar so lo for black people, they will continue to kill each other.

See, the reality of how politics work is that you have to escalate issues with the system. The media etc won't do it for you. Its f**king absurd to claim that white people are held to a higher standard, given the increased likelihood of a black suspect receiving a custodial sentence for the same crime as a white guy. You seem to have a divergent view that thinks that the Black Civil Rights movement should do what you want, rather than its own remit. And Black Civil Rights movements are very big on the issue of black on black murder and gang violence. Just not this one.
