I don't think you've read the conversation jamie and I have been having if you don't think it's about religion.

The Burka is an affront to Women's rights & has no place in a relatively free & democratic society. It is worn in the desert, made of cheap nylon & it is almost always black & designed to cover as much as possible. It is designed to make women suffer nothing more nothing less. Why on earth anyone who wants to stand up for womens rights would choose to turn a blind eye to this is taking society backwards & reeks of hypocrisy. Islam by & large is deeply homophobic. How many islamic countries have the death penalty for homosexuality? 10? its a f*ing disgrace Read the first paragraph of this 'moderate' webpage [Link] Halal slaughter is fing evil. Dont try to claim that traditional slaughter is just as brutal. Stunning the animal for the majority of Muslims is considered non halal, it takes a very long time for a cow to die after having its throat cut, atleast with a bolt to the brain theres a far higher chance of the animal being dead at the time of slaughter. Seperation of religion & state See Turkey and the erosion of its secularism. These are lines in the sand among many many reasons & there should be absolutely no movement from us. Instead we allow the suffering of women and even celebrate it. Turn a blind eye to the absolutely disgusting levels of homophobia that exist within the British muslim community. Halal slaughter is tolerated, f** we even give tax breaks to religious slaughter houses giving them the advantage over traditional abbattoirs (this being the real reason why it is impossible to get non halal meat anymore) Then theres the Cultural things like, acid attacks, honour killings, illegal sharia courts set up to settle disputes within Muslim communities all are two fingers up to a British legal system that has stood the test of time for centuries. This country gives and gives and gives in the hope that the next Generation of Muslims will somehow get on board and be more tolerant yet the evidence shows that it is indeed the opposite that is happening.
