Royal F up from super Al! Best finisher at our club and not given enough full games.
Good luck to Gayle, gave us Crystanbul and that will live in memory for years to come!

Have to agree, Murray and Gayle to me were potentially as good a strike force as Wright/Bright. Palace have never really had many good scoring duos. And I go back to the days of Woodruff/Jackson C.

Newky won't sell. Wouldn't mind betting that Bees will flog Hogan though.

Morrison and Freedman.

Yeah, I think maybe Murray and Gayle together would have been a great combination, but then dropping either Zaha, Bolaise or Puncheon might have been a problem.

You can't play 4-4-2 in a team that's getting at best 40% possession, and has two wingers.

What teams do have goalscoring duos these days though? It feels like that is something more associated with old school formations.

Chris Sutton + Alan Shearer did well I believe
Andy Cole + Dwight Yorke?

Since then though, what other 40+ goal partnerships have there been in the Premier League?

I have a feeling a few of you stattos will give me a very detailed response to this, which saves me using Google.

Vardy and Mahrez got 41.

A £750,000 signing from Rochdale when Mark Warburton was the manager.Rochale signed him from Hyde.

Poor lad has had lengthy spells out with injury on the same knee.Good player.

He pretty much was last year, even if his actual position is in midfield.

You also said goalscoring duos, not duos of strikers.

You are right, I did. It followed on from the phrase "strike force" which I guess could still be comprised of a midfielder and a striker.

But anyway, I am moving the goalposts and saying strikers only now so there!

Aguero, Dzeko and Ballotelli got 50 between them in 2011/12. They're all strikers.
