The Cronx beer is its only positive

I'm always wary of 'craft beers'

I tried some of that Kraft Cheese and, to be honest, it seemed like mass manufactured stuff. I think they were taking the mickey there

Cronx is great beer. If I was you I'd try their blonde ale as it's the most similar to lager (they might actually do a lager as well, not sure)

will pop down Boxpark, from what I've heard it seems great, exactly what Croydon needs

Drank Cronx once, didnt like it. Then again i am a lager drinker. I spent the rest of the day dropping gas bombs that effected everyone around me. It was unpleasant for everyone around me but i was having a chuckle to myself. Tempted to drinl a few pints next time and go in the away end.

I went on Saturday night and was impressed. For the quality and variety of food and drink the prices are really good - didn't feel like they're putting a premium on 'cool'. Also just a good place to hang out and I bumped into a few people I didn't expect to, which was a bonus.

They have a 5-year lease on the site. Will be interesting to see, once the honeymoon period is over, what sort of crowd it attracts. I think having regular events will help to keep people coming back.

Matt - could be the venue for the drinks we were arranging....

Went there tonight, met the missus after work. Gotta say well impressed, not cheap, but for the occasional meal and drink great venue. Very eclectic choice of food from Greek frozen yogurt to spicy Thai, will definitely be going back.

The food based ones will do well. Coffee I doubt it.

Went to get a couple of coffees today and they were 50p more than Pret / Nero / Costa. For a takeaway that's bloody expensive

Bringing the hispters out in Croydon might not be such a bad thing for the area.

The bar is great but sits on the outside of the park. Only (huge,) issue is it doesn't have its own 'facilities.' You fill yourself with lovely beers and eventually the seal needs to be broken. You have to go out of the bar up into the main box park walk (jog/sprint,) to the very far opposite corner of the park though some doors round a corner and relief is at hand. A good 5/10 minute each way. Oh and toilets shut before last orders.

Shame as great addition to Croydon scene
