You are correct. I am unfamiliar with it. Reason being is no one else on here has ever tried to get a cheap laugh out of being rude about me whilst sugar coating it as some sort of joke so I haven't removed someone before. If that's how you saw it, then I guess I do owe you an apology. I thought you said you were thick skinned, up for a laugh and one of the lads. It would have been better to PM me and explain how you felt and I would have apologised sooner. I honestly did not think you or others would think I was being rude to you to upset you. As I said before, I thought you were up for a laugh. Sorry. X

Keep it civil people. I'm in a card kind of mood today. Sorry Jamie. I'll take a card for upsetting Michaela previously without realising I had. Fairs fair.

This is a bad day for nasty, petty point scoring. To many of us the US news is massively overshadowed by local news. Sadly the Press took a while to get that. Some people would be better using their fantastic wit and ability to determine what is 'good' for others by focusing on emotional intelligence on a day that will go down in history as (another) plain awful day for Croydon. Especially for those of us that live towards the East.

Sorry Jamie. I'll take a card for upsetting Michaela previously without realising I had. Fairs fair. I have shown in pms and general chat on here I like a joke but that was a bit low. No one needs to start going down the road of carding people. Not suggested that. Anyway back to the politics.
When I was a young girl my Mother said to me.. You listen here kid you're CPFC |

Well yes, but the problem generally is that the intelligent and educated tend to forget that the rest of the population also have a vote - and there are large sections of the population who aren't notated for From an outsider perspective, I'm not sure he was the right choice. Little focus on policy, lots on rhetoric, but he seems to have struck a cord with enough of the people in the swing states to construct a victory out of what appears to be very little, but continually repeated phrases. Now he has to deliver, the people have spoken, and he won't be the first unpopular president in the US with the opposition. Of course he may not take office, given the issues coming up from the Trump University and an child sex offence issue coming in December. But he won. If you want a democracy, that sometimes means admitting that you have to accept that its not about 'just you', but everyone. It doesn't mean he's right, or that his supporters are somehow right, but that he has sufficient support to represent the US. You can't have democracy, and then decide you don't like the outcome of the election because 'the other guy' won. The constitution, the senate and house of representatives place quite a lot of power over the capacity of the president to implement his personal agenda - and really the Democrats should have been more concerned about these two houses, than the presidency. Its a poor system, it just happens to be better than the alternatives. But now the Republicans have a virtual free hand. They have the Senete, the President and house, and potentially the supreme court. So there really are no excuses to hide behind if they cannot deliver on their stated goals and policy, they have the full political weight of the US behind them.
It does make me wonder where US politics will be if they fail. Given that, Donald better build that wall or the US will probably be Democrat for ever more and at the mercy of the minority vote.
