I would go with

Mandanda
Ward Dann Tomkin Fryers
Cabaye Puncheon
Zaha Mcarthur Townsend
Benteke

Subs:

Delaney, Kelly, Lee Chung-Yong, Wickham, Hennessey

Zaha has some green grass in front of him here. Finds Ambrose
not a bad effort ooooooooooh! what a goal by Darren Ambrose absolutely stunning strike!!! And, Crystal Palace lead @ Old Trafford.

McArthur needs to be switched back to a more defensive role, we miss his interceptions in front of the defence, Ledley is simply not mobile enough.

Mandanda
Kelly- Dann - Delaney - Ward
Cabaye - McArthur
Zaha - Puncheon - Townsend
Benteke

They're seriously dodgy at the back, might as well go for it. Sit back and you get destroyed, look at WBA the other week. Goals goals goals. Probably 4-2 to City.

The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.

4-4-2 formation.

Stones is MC weakest link and makes mistakes when under pressure ie, pressed.

Apparent at Everton and nothing has changed since moving to MC - nearly got caught out a number of times England v Scotland as Scotland pressed him into a mistake or passing sideways to a player who is already under pressure / marked (Stones won't long clear as he believes his own hype)

Have Zaha and Townsend press high with a supporting midfielder who has pace (to get back if necessary). Stones mistakes will come.

Play first half towards Holmesdale for a change and let the crowd intimidate and get on city's back when they are in defence and in possession - whilst we still have speed on our side.

Take in a half time lead (for a change)

Fitness will be our only problem as we don't look fit enough to keep this tactic up for more than half an hour or so (45mins tops)

2nd half Pack our defence and midfield, bring Benteke on fresh and play 4-5-1 aim for set piece or breakaway as City will have to come out an play leaving gaps to exploit.

Job done

No doubt Pardew will adopt the same tactics as in the 29 games we haven't won this year, start slowly, watch Mandanda make more mistakes (this season) go behind make a double substitution and talk about the 15 minute spell in the 2nd half where we dominated but ultimately lose again. We will play the same way against City as we will against Swansea unfortunately that sums Pardew up.

Results at home clearly show that no team is intimidated by a visit to us; the whole 'fortress Selhurst' thing is a myth. On the contrary, it's the place where teams come to turn around a poor run of form.

If everyone is expecting us to lose against City we may as well play an attacking formation against them.
Defensively they are not the best, they don't look comfortable when under attack and appear to give away a few free kicks, run at them penalties are possible.Players like Kompany look a little vulnerable when confronted by nippy forwards.
But then we aren't the best at the back either, so everyone is going to need to be at the top of their game, they will all need to work their socks off to get anything.

Having suffered a last minute equalised against Middlesbrough,City will be like a wounded animal and desperate for a win at our place,to get back on track to winning ways and will attack us from the off.
May leave them exposed to a counter and we must clearly keep it tight at the back, but a big ask.

I have no faith in manager or the team anymore. I'd predict 2-0 City before with Jedinak in the side to bully them and make it difficult for them to get 2 goals.

With this lot they'll score 3 goals through class and 2 goals through our mistakes. We won't score.

Given up on this season of 'transition' already. Sucks when you pay so much for a season ticket and it's effectively over by November.

Never fails to amaze me how our fans are pissed off becuase we're not in the top 10.

Who are you kidding to think we have any right to be in the top ten.

We are two points away from 10th and yet someone is bemoaning our season as being over.

For real? If one of the last few games went our way we'd be in ninth now with three extra points. But no they didn't, and we're not but does it really mean our season is over?

but yeah if we still had Jedi and Murray we'd be in 6th yeah?

More arm chair managers and jumpers for goal posts... season over 2 points below 10th.

For real???
