For me there are more important positions to fill first - like another striker and a decent RB. We have two OK keepers - if 1 was to get injured we could always get an emergency loan. I don't resent Hennessey because he replaced Speroni. I don't even resent him at all. The fact is, he isnt good enough for the PL and makes the same mistakes time and time again.

But that is by the by and another get out clause for his supporters to get away from the fact that he just isn't good enough. No, you hated him before he even arrived.

With respect, I think he is good enough for the Premier League playing for a team near the bottom. We ought to try to do better if we have ambitions to finish higher, but it's not the only position that needs a bit of an upgrade. Plus he keeps our defenders on their toes

On more than one occasion I have called for this thread to be closed so don't accuse me of prolonging it. I find it totally ridiculous because if you really wanted to analyse our games in depth you would see that missed penalties, missed open goals and stupid free kicks given away on the edge of the area with the likes of Siggurdsson, Coutinho and Payet in the opposition line up have cost us more points than mistakes by our keeper. Yet there are no 100 page threads about any other players who have made mistakes from time to time. So come on Moderators lock this thread once and for all because this is supposed to be a Palace SUPPORTERS Constructive and fair criticism I can understand but not this ongoing witch hunt against one man.

Regardless of what anyone thinks of Wayne, they shouldn't worry about protecting his feelings unless they earn about £30k a week doing something they love. I'm sure he doesn't give two f***s about what I think of his goalkeeping ability. If he was getting up at 6 bells every morning and doing some serious collar and getting bullied on a building site for no reason then I'd be inclined to stick up for him and tell bullies to do one. This is a football fans forum and place to air gripes and moans. All part of what Wayne does as a job.
