Was an absolute king of a goalie. its quite funny really, during that period, out of all the players who left the club, wright/bright/shaw/salako/martyn/gray salako & shaw pissed me off as coventry were the closest team to me and most of my mates supported them, but i had no bad feelings towards big nige as he stayed during relegation when he was really our prized asset.

If the writer for the Independent can be relied upon, this is sad news. Call me sceptical, but the 'little knocks' players get are either a PR job because they are dropped, else more worryingly, the players are 'bottling it'. This is not a particular dig at WH, but symptomatic of all the players. This is a time to man-up, not hide in the treatment room.

This is the first thing that popped into my head when I heard that Wayne was injured(if true). I'm sure it's a tactic that we deploy to pull GK's out of the firing line. Been a couple of times since we've been in the PL where a GK(first Speroni and then Wayne) have all of a sudden been declared injured and removed from the team. So looks like speroni starts tomorrow. Looking forward to the in-depth analysis of every mistake he makes, and the 'he was better than hennesseey/no he wasnt' debate. Shall we start a speroni thread or just add it onto this one...
