A credit to Scotland.

I find it amusing that people who post deliberately offensive bile to wind people up complain about others doing the same.

I find it amusing when people complain about divisive organisations by making divisive statements.

I also find it amusing when people go public with political statements and don't expect flak. Then they pull the old I feel threatened routine.

People writing opinions in newspapers.

What are you talking about?

I have no time for Scottish Nationalists or people who see racism everywhere. But if you are going to stick your head out of the trench then you can expect to be shot at.

What about English and British Nationalists, who see prejudice against 'the native people of the UK' everywhere....

You mean the Beaker People or post ice age hunter gatherers in general?
They always had a rough deal.

So it's ok to be a nationalist as long as you are not an English or British nationalist?

How can you be a British nationalist? It's a union of nations, not a nation itself.

That said, I suppose it's easy to look beyond that.

The SNP has some of the nastiest trolls around though as a party their nationalism has tended to be more inclusive than their English equivalents; taking in everyone living in Scotland rather than people born in Scotland, though you would have no problem finding individual examples of thoroughly nasty comments from SNP activists and elected officials. It is also worth noting that the SNP has always had a decent handful of English born MSP's. I think half a dozen in the last assembly.

One thing I only saw recently was a Daily Record article which reported that a majority of people born in Scotland voted for independence but that 72% of people born in England Wales and NI voted No. In other words if the Scots had been able to restrict the ballot in the same was as the EU referendum was then Scotland would be independent yet no SNP leader has ever challenged the result.

Lets hope they get their independence and join the Euro and all the rest of it.

Let them live under EU rule.

They would be happy to oblige. I might even join them....if they can work out an economic policy which stuffed them last time
