Agreed, it would, at the very best have been a gamble in respect of Silva's experience and success in PL Football. He did a good job at Hull in bringing about improvements in their Home form but nothing to shout about with their away record. You are absolutely correct but that is where the manager and tactics come in and experience of handling such situations is essential. I think the problem with the Burnley game was that the foot was taken off the pedal because too many people at the Club were assuming that we were already safe on 38 points.
