If I remember right last time we played you in the top flight,we were both relegated that year.
And I remember seeing the great frank Worthington at our ground....1972 I think.
Any way welcome lads enjoy and just beat the scum on the south coast and we will be friends for ever.

always a Norwood boy, where ever I live.

Hi Guys,
Just wanted to register on here and say hi ahead of our very first Premier League game!
We're all not sure if we believe it's real yet!
Can't wait for the season to start.
Do any of you know much about Lil old Huddersfield Town? Looking forward to a new away day? Think it'll be 6 easy points?
We're certainly favourites for relegation (again) 🙄
Hopefully we can prove the pundits and bookies wrong again this year!
Anywho, looking forward to a trip to Selhurst Park, hope to see some friendly Palace fans along the way!
Terrier!

Did you ever dream of a team of alan lees?

Hi Terrier,

I lived in the area (Slawit and Holmfirth). So I know the club well - my best man's a season ticket holder, so I've been to the John Smith stadium many times.

The first game against you I can remember was a 2-2 draw midweek in 1985. First time I saw Ian Wright, coming on as sub.

I think you'll do well, like us you were written off at the start of the season.

And...er... Dougie Freedman says sorry for sending you down in 2000 with just a couple of minutes left.

A referee can only allow a game to proceed if both goals can be seen from the centre spot.

Who says refereeing has got worse!?

Good luck Terrier, from 13 August.

Unless the opener is switched to Sunday, in which case good luck Terrier, from 14 August.

Unless the opener is switched......

Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes)

I like Huddersfield, an unassuming 'small' team like ourselves.

Last time I saw Palace v Huddersfield was in the Championship just before Christmas, must have been our promotion season. 1-1 draw and bitterly cold.

I hope Huddersfield do well. I particularly enjoyed them taking Brighton apart last season.

I think first game of the season is the worst time to play them so I am already nervous about the first fixture. Hope I'm wrong.

My only memory(more of a nightmare) was a miserable game in the old Second Division some time in the sixties. Selhurst was a mud pond and the ref appeared to blow up for a free kick. Jacko returned the ball in his direction, next thing Frank Worthington was running through unopposed to score,Jacko watching on.Nobody believed it and to this day I dont understand, but Uddersfield won 1-0. Lovely to have them back again, hope that luck ran out then

I've nothing against them at all, but we don't need any more competition in the bottom third, so I personally hope that they do considerably worse than us.

Can you hear the Brighton sing? I can't hear a ******* thing!

I'm not even looking at a relegation battle. Huddersfield won't be battling us for our Europa League spot

We've been Palace fans for too long to think such things, after all, this is Palace and we always do things the hard way.

Welcome to the Prem.

Yes, one thing you will like about us at Palace is that we have been kicked in the bollocks enough times to not take anything for granted. You won't find any of us crowing about getting a Europa League spot or anything daft like that
