With the current squad, I'm a bit shocked that FDB hasn't lined them up like this and has instead persisted with playing players out of position: ................Speroni .....Tomkins....Dann...Riedewald Ward...Luka.....Cabaye.....PVA/Schlupp ...Townsend.....Benteke....Zaha It feels very much like round pegs in square holes at the moment when we have players who can play in those positions already, albeit probably not well enough. I'm wondering if Loftus-Cheek has been brought in to replace Cabaye

As far as I'm concerned, you play your best players. It's good to see we have good depth in the middle of the park though.

We've signed two already and didn't Dominic Fefield say we was trying to sign four more? But yes I doubt we'd get all of those. But we need a keeper. IF Townsend goes will def need a RWB. We don't actually have a first choice third forward And we are by all accounts looking at at least one more defender. Apart from the four positions above I've added our friend Sakho which yes we might not get. But I don't think the four positions are unrealistic. IF Townsend stays then obviously we need one less. So make it three more plus possibly sakho. Hey we might not sign a keeper and only have two. We might not sign a qualified RWB We might not sign a first XI third attacker. We might not sign either chambers or Fosu-Mensah who we are being linked with. But I wouldn't be surprised if we sign some. Although that being said from watching the team yesterday I think the currrent players are in good shape to give a good account of themselves. Not much worried me about what I saw. Other than holes behind Townsend and Danns suicide pass.
