Thing with this formation is that it very quickly becomes 343 if Luka drops back and the full backs push on. Chances are we aren't going to be able to tell the difference if these are the starting players.

You would have to say that this will be the nailed on starting 11, in what ever formation FdB picks.

Agreed and would add it is the most adaptable formation if we need to change things .Can easily change that to 3-4-3 or even a 4-5-1 or dare I even say a 4-4 fricking 2 without changing personnel.

The amount of team without puncheon is laughable. While I agree he shouldn't start he will, he's the captain and we haven't won a premier league game without him in the line up. I would go 3-5-2/ 5-3-2 in this game Hennessey Edited by Dan89 (09 Aug 2017 9.22pm)

I'm not sure if we'll throw Fosu-Mensah in for the whole 90 minutes and this isn't so much a prediction more an idea, if we do. Speroni Fosu-mensah -- Dann -- Riedewald Townsend -- Luka -- Punch -- Schlupp LoftusCheek -- Benteke -- Zaha Subs: Wayne, Tomkins, Ward, PVA, Cabaye, Lokilo, Wan-Bissaka, Would be happy to see punch also played up top with LoftusCheek in midfield. If Fosu is yet up to speed I'd predict Luka will play RCB with Jason starting. Obviously trade in PVA for Schlupp if you want either could start not much between them. Ditto the keepers.
