I think that's a common Bauhaus issue - A lot of people seemed to like Bauhaus, but not in so much of a buying albums kind of way.

Isn't this about the forth "gothy music" thread in recent years? I am not complaining but I have noticed that it causes less controversy than talking about politics or Palace.

Should we just bring up Bauhaus whenever any thread if getting a bit heated?

Alternatively should this forum become a goth forum that sometimes discusses football?

And also the yearly awards ought to have a "best Bauhaus song of the year" category....

Haha, I meant each year in the HOL awards we could name a song, on the basis that actually Bauhaus probably weren't going to release anything new. Slice of Life was always a favourite of mine.

I came to them late as I wasn't born until 1981. Essentially just started buying "goth" albums second hand from Beanos around 2000. Starting with Floodland by Sisters of Mercy on vinyl which I had to sit in the dining room at my mum and dad's to listen to on headphones as my dad had one of those big hifi separates systems and I didn't own a turntable. In hindsight I don't know why I used to buy so much stuff on vinyl that was readily available on CD.

Because youngfellamelad you had taste and that is proven today. Major record companies are going back to vinyl now alongside the modern stuff. The artwork of the covers too. Superb. Apart from Mr Ash's doodlings. They were rubbish. Lucky he could play guitar, look good in mascara and fishnets and carry a spiky haircut well.
