FDB clearly a mistake. From the Van Gaal school of tactical inflexibility. Problem is I'm not sure Hodgson won't be a bigger one...

Steve parish is a ruthless businessman, why is everyone so surprised, he doesn't make his money being nice! Something obviously wasn't right with de boer behind the scenes, I don't think the players believed in him also. But after ydays performance I am surprised he's gone.

In defence of Parish He said this is a result business.
We are in a mini league of possible relegation candidates and we have just given three of them three precious points each Any self respecting business man would take the same action.Tough on Frank but thats what its about in the premier league.

I'm still confused by all that tweeting last night when Parish seemed to be giving his full backing to de Boer. I very much doubt he would do that if he intended to sack him the next day so what went on this morning?

The official site uses the term "parted company" which could possibly mean by mutual agreement. Perhaps it was FdB who decided he wanted out?

I was watching the game on Kodi yesterday and say how nervous frank looked in the dugout as we were kicking off, my heart sank for him, I really wanted him to succeed, soon as I saw the way we played I was relieved for him, because in my world, that display changed everything, all of a sudden we looked to be going in a great direction, fantastic football.

Then I read Parish' tweets last nght and it gave me even more reason to believe he'd be kept in charge, Parish backed him last night!!

Today, im so disheartened, I feel live ive been dumped by a pretty bird or something.

Sky have reported that the decision to sack FDB was made after Harris and Blitzer spoke late last night with Parish

I think he'd lost the players mate, looking at the bench and who he left on it, spoke volumes. I hate rumours, but the ones circulating about him being a bit of a dick and upsetting all and sundry would appear on face value at least, to have some credibility attached to them.

If one was a conspiracy theorist, it would be easy to hypothesise that the chances were missed on purpose yesterday to ensure the sacking of the manager, that would go some way to explain the absolute fcking sitter that Dann put wide of the post when it was easier to score.

But that would be silly wouldn't it ?

Not at all. When the goal was scored, I did not throw my beer into the air or stomp my feet, I just thought 'sabotage' - it simply could not have been anything else, and from then on knew that we had lost both the game and the manager.

I have always defended parish but I have now lost all respect for him. Publicly saying about sticking together as a team and the next morning sacking him. Knew what we were getting when hired had to either see it through or don't appoint him in the first place. Utterly ridiculous

Parish should resign his position as chairman and take his responsibility for the way he has allowed this club to be a laughing stock within football and now we know why no second striker = compensation for fdb and finally what happens if Woy loses his next 4 games their goes the January transfer kitty , absolute disgrace.

Both my sons thought it looked deliberate and that Lee had had a bet on the time of the first goal, but they were joking. In reality I think Lee would have wanted to have made a good impression as he gets so few chances and we really did look like we were trying hard.

here's another former Parrish loyalist turned critic - we can't see behind the scenes but he was worth at least six more games after we used and dominated possession so well yesterday.

We owe CPFC2010 everything. They certainly deserve good manners. We were given a chance when AP failed to deliver poncey football and we were save by the skin of our teeth and by reverting to the stuff we do well. Rugged defence, fast breaks and playing the underdog. SP's error was that instead of learning he wasted that chance by chasing tippy-tappy s***e again.

Poor FDB was just the wrong man for a club that is passionate, loud and brave rather than cultured, patient and reflective.

I hope I am wrong but if it is Hodgson, I guess he will take us down gently and we'll find out whether we still retain the loyalty that took us up.

The idea is awful but perhaps better than buying a dozen foreign players with a classier style but who jump ship at the first big offer in order to survive.
