I've heard it said in Conservative circles that Boris is an "Act" he is not a serious politician. I am aligned with Thatcher,Tebbit,Redwood,Bill Cash etc etc - But I don't think these are going to be in any leadership contest ! At the end of the day it could be a 'Coronation' or the members might get a vote choosing between 2 candidates.If Boris is one of the pair then of course I would have to weigh up whether overall he is more deserving of being leader than the other person - So I might still vote for him !!!!

There are not really any other serious contenders - none in the original chart would inspire much from non-tory voters. There seems to be a dearth of genuine leadership contenders on all sides. May is a dead woman walking, Corbyn, now the PLP seem to have bowed to momentum in the pusuit of power, is actually kind of scary (I don't want momentum having ANY clout whatsoever, and they really do seem an unpleasant bunch of ideologues). The lib dems are just banging on about brexit being bad, at a time when the majority of the public, both pro and con brexit, just want it done and over so we can crack on with more important stuff.

Well, he has.

I said the Tories would win by around 80 seats. I got that wrong.

However Labour were 64 seats away from even getting to the narrowest win.

When you look at the seats that they would need to win.... Plenty of those just aren't going to vote for marxists.

Grenfell hasn't happened for nothing it is a monument to the tories corrupt selfish greed and will win the election for labour IMO. Its good Jeremy is focused on what may happen if elected that's responsible. Keep to the core issues especially housing and the NHS and don't get involved in rubbish about marxists nazis all that stuff as the public wants sensible reforms. I think social reforms not international matters wars as we will have little influence. Johnson and the tory press are ideal targets for labour just let them go on as they are.

Boris doesn't keep his word, he's weak. Not good attributes for a PM. After all, he said the UK wouldn't 'pay a single penny' to the EU with regards brexit. Fast forward a few months an we find that the first payment comprising of €20 billion has been agreed.
