This is a mess for the BBC. Either Riley has to go or Derbyshire and Husain. No doubt there will be more to come. Always enjoyed him on 5 live but will be interesting to hear more context before casting any judgement. Can imagine more will follow.

Who the hell would make advances to Barmyshire - dreadful woman. Mind you just seen a photo of Riley wearing a jacket with blue suede shoulder pieces - so must be a wrong 'un.

I don’t think the advances were to Derbyshire but she has encouraged other women to report him for whatever he’s alleged to have done.

Actually that doesn't surprise me.

A female employee of mine once asked if I had something in my pocket and without thinking I replied “No i’m Just pleased to see you”. Fortunately I know her well and know she has a sense of humour but realised how stupid i’d been straight afterwards and hope if we fall out in the future she doesn’t pluck it out of the archives.

You should probably sue her for harassment quick before she goes to HR. Does she look anything like Mae West?

You fed me, you bred me, I'll remember your name.

I didn't know that David Brent was a Palace fan.

Another chapter in the world gorn mad puritanical nuttery begins.

If a man behaves inappropriately then he needs to learn the parameters of acceptable behaviour in whatever environment prevails.
The trouble is that this sort of thing can be used as a charter to persecute any man you have a grudge against or wish to undermine or sack. This happens already in the workplace.
It's all too easy to accuse with little or no corroboration or just take offence because you don't fancy the person making a pass at you.
That said, groping of any sort is a no no. If you grope your work colleagues then you deserve what you get.

More like Fred West.

Which made the joke worth making. In my eyes anyway....

Well put. I remember one time I was selling merchandise at a well known football bar Nevada Smiths (Which is no more) this being early Sunday morning & the game not being a particularly attractive one (something like Fulham v Stoke City)
I was stood by the door when a lay I'd say in her early thirties walked past & asked If she knew If I knew where a TD Bank was?
"Yes i do three blocks up the Street & the other side of the road' I said. 'Thank' she said. 'Your welcome Love' I chimed back. LOVE? LOVE? I'm not your LOVE She then went ito a loopy rant that men shouldn't presume that all women were there for sexual gratification & the likes of!!
