I"m surprised how s***e they are doing because they spent over £150m in the summer but they were stupid enough not to invest any of it on a striker who will score them goals!

They are in a mess & its disappointing we didn't beat them recently when we should of. I can see us above them by Xmas although I don"t think they will go down.

I think they were banking on Rooney getting the goals, record scorer for Man Utd, record scorer for England, why isn't he showing his class and experience ?

Just a matter of time before Everton start flying up the table with mighty BFS in charge.

Doesn't look good. If they are keeping Unsworth (which apparently it's looking like it), then I think they will go down. Absolutely shocking against a Southampton team that struggles for goals.

On the Everton side of things, they conceded 17 shots (5 on target), against Soton's average of 14 shots (3 on target). That is not great - in fact, it's relegation standard. Today they conceded above their average, but it appears that average is getting worse. In their last 6 games before today, they conceded 15 or more shots in 3 of them (although one was vs Arsenal).

On the Southampton side of things, they're not unable to create chances, they just can't take them for toffee (excuse the pun). Charlie Austin's first start from what I can gather, and he scored two goals today. If he can keep fit, they are a good side.

The difference I think, is that Everton have been s**t all season, were as we've only been s**t for about six or seven games.

Excepting Man Utd and Man City, we've only really been turned over once, on the first day of the season. Mostly we've been s**t at scoring. They've been sh*t at defending and scoring.

They were fortunate against us, a soft as f**k penalty and a gift. Other than that, even against the bottom club they were s**t.

Might be a bit premature to be thinking about how s**t other teams are? We are after all the team at the very bottom of the table still and are at the very least two games away from changing that. I think we need a couple of wins more before we can decide that others are dire.
