His wages are at least £100k per week plus the signing on and agents fees so that’s a big punt unless you’re sure his prem Fair dues. I don't reckon his prem level pace has gone and as a total acquisition cost, 15.6m over 3 seasons would be cheap for a successful prem player (if that's what we got, which I reckon is more likely than not).

He can’t beat full backs for pace anymore. I’ve seen it. That’s not his only asset but pace alone he can’t get past them.

Absolutely no way we pay a squad player that though. Wasn’t Benteke a squad player last season?!!!!

If all it takes to get him is a 2-3 million bid, then screw his wages, I'd take him. He's an accomplished player in the Premier League, he can be a t least good for the price. Edit: Well, that was a 1,5 million offer only for a 1 year loan. Everton's asking price after that will probably be close to 10 million considering they want to recoup at least a part of what they paid for him. Edited by mattteo (11 Jul 2018 9.13pm)
