Does anybody agree with this observation that the unimaginative robotic dullards that populate the panel in Dragon's Den and the utter numpties who go on The Apprentice might go a long way to explaining our balance of payments deficit? If this lot are our captains of industry no wonder we're struggling.

Nah - socialist governments have contributed towards this.

Steve Parish was about to become one of your unimaginative robotic dullards on Dragons Den until he pulled out at the last minute

Last time I watched Dragons Den was about 10 years ago many of the dragons at that time were property developers, nothing wrong in that. However why would someone who buys and sells land be the best judge of whether a new type of vacuum cleaner will be successful? The program concept is sound but I lost interest because I didn't think the panel was made up of the right people.

Same with Parish. Advertising production or owning a football club is no experience of business to consumer goods.
