Agree, Give the lad a start, cant be any worse than Ayew; might even boost his confidence to be starting rather than coming on for 10 minutes when we are trying to chase the game.

I agree, Meyer was our best player last night and a run in the first team will only improve him. As for the match. I thought we couldn’t hold or get the ball for the first 30minutes. At the end of the first half and the beginning of the second We started to play well, we moved the ball around better and our passing improved.the pressure we applied was good and if we had kept that up I think we could have won the match. But as always once we scored we seem to sit back as though the job has been done. That let Bournemouth back into the match.
As I mentioned in a previous post I thought Hodgeson sub timing was poor and I hate to say this Sorlorth is not Premiership quality yet, giving him the benefit of the doubt I have said this so many times I would really like to see him put out on loan in January to a Championship club if there are takers, with a more experience striker bought in someone Sorloth can learn from.

Agree with this, but think back a few years and we were in this position all over the pitch.

I remember a quote that I was told once, “you can’t eat an elephant in one meal”. Which kinds of sums up the journey that we are on. The striker remains a problem are, but I don’t know where a replacement will come from.

I thought Ayew did ok, but not in front of goal. All the creativity and link up seems to come down the wings, which cuts out the striker.

I don’t know what the solution is, but it seems that the strikers job Is to create space for the wide men rather than to score at the moment.
If this is the tactic then we can’t complain if the strikers don’t score.

Sakho does give me kittens and does make the odd ricket admittedly however I think his clumsy style gives the perception he is always all over the place when in reality he more often than not gets the job done. He can also pick out a decent pass. Talking of passing, where did Tomkins cross field balls come from

Sorloth does look to me that the PL is currently a bit too much for him. He would really benefit from a run of games out on loan in the championship somewhere. Unfortunately we are not in a position to afford him this luxury as its painfully obvious to everyone we have barely any other alternatives. Our collection of non scoring strikers is appalling.

Yes, hugely frustrating. We were totally dominant after the break. We score and then take the foot of the gas.
