It's difficult to beat a Triumph Stag. They look beautiful and sound amazing.

But then I'm biased as I own one.
The downside is the fuel consumption which is in the low 20's.

I learned to drive in my parents Standard Vanguard with a column shift. It was truly awful

A lot of classics on this thread. (except for the OP!)

never really got old cars tbh, prefer the newer models myself....

I'm Partial to a new Style Mustang.
or the Aston DBS Superleggera

Totall agree. Old cars are generally rubbish to drive, if not downright terrible.
Where they do often win is looks , as they didnt have to conform to pedestrian safety standards as todays cars do.
I like the cars like the Eagle i mentioned or the singer 911's. Old style bodies on modern running gear. Not cheap though, hence fitting into the "Dream car" category.
Be interesting to see a "Dream woman" category from some of the posts here.
Judging by the cars , i would expect answers like " the bird that works in the bakers".... etc etc. "

Old cars take more concentration and skill to drive as they aren't fitted with all the modern gizmos and driving aids of a modern car but that doesn't make them rubbish to drive

The problem with the looks of modern cars, especially supercars is that they tend to look alike as all of them are designed by computer programmed with the same parameters
